Malta Jazz Festival - The extremely popular Festival of the best in Jazz presents world class jazz musicians on the 15th, 16th, and 17th July in the magnificent setting of Ta' Liesse, Malta's Grand Harbour, Valletta. Audiences can enjoy the big names in contemporary jazz whilst presenting an eclectic programme to suit all tastes: from danceable salsa to the lulling sway of bossa nova, from the introspective dialogues of the piano trio to the infectious grooves of gospel, blues and r&b. All the artists featuring in this year's festival have one thing in common - a strong jazz element.
Malta Beer festival - Beer in of course the most important factor of this yearly festival, however beer alone is not the only attraction. The nightly entertainment provided by local artists is also a centrel issue of this event. Some fantastic performances by Malta's leading artists and bands will guarantee to keep the visitors coming back again for more. A fabulous range of local and overseas cuisine will be available to complement the beer and the music. This years festival will be held at the Ta Qali Park from 23rd July to 1st August.
Joseph Calleja & Dionne Warwick -Tenor Joseph Calleja will perform in Malta this summer with Claudio Baglioni and music legend Dionne Warwick.The live concert will be held on July 24 at the Granaries in Floriana. The concert will also feeature a 500 strong childrens choir. The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by celebrated Maestro Paul Bateman, will also take part in the concert.
Rod Stewart live in concert - One of the most successful performers of all time will be visiting Malta for the very first time this summer. His live concert on 3rd August at the 'Granaries' is expected to be the biggest pop & rock gig this year. Famed for his distinctive raspy voice, Rod is expected to belt out a selection of his greatest hits such as ‘Do Ya Think I‘m Sexy‘,‘Sailing‘, ‘Hot Legs‘,‘First Cut Is The Deepest‘,‘Maggie May‘, 'Some Guys have all the luck' and many many more.
Akon in Concert - The world renowned R&B hit maker from Senegal will be in Malta for 2 nights in August to thrill the crowds with his Internationally acclaimed music. The concerts will held from 14th to 15th August at the Ta Qali arena.
Qormi Bread festival - Malta may be renowned for many things, but its famous bread is something that every visitor to the island absolutely loves. Totally unique and found nowhere else except here on Malta, the secret to seeing how this lovely bread is made can be revealed during the annual bread festival in Qormi. Held between the 9th to 11th September, this annual event is as popular as ever with local and visitors to Malta.
Notte Bianca - The Malta Council for Culture & the Arts will once again be organising a jam-packed programme for Notte Bianca, which will be held in Valletta on the night of September 25th. The event, which has drawn thousands of people to Valletta over the past few years, consists of a rich mix of history, culture and entertainment, with activities being held right across the capital city.
Malta Air Show - A large variety of airplanes, both military and civilian, will be on display at the Airport and performing in the skies on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th September in this year's edition of the Malta International Air Show.
Elton John returns to Malta - Back again on the island, one of music's biggest icons for the past 40 years will be returning to Malta in September for another concert to wow the crowds with a selection of his greatest hits spanning the past 4 decades.
