Points of Interest

Gozo is renowned as the mythical island of Calypso, who drew Homer's hero Ulysses to its shores for a seven-year hiatus. Though there are only five kilometres of sea between Malta and Gozo, the islands are distinctly different from each other. Gozo is a third of the size of Malta, more rural and tranquil, greener, less bustling but still full of life. While authentic houses of character have been renovated to suit the most exigent contemporary clients are the speciality of Gozo, the Island also has luxurious hotels. The size and natural setting of the island conspire to make it a prime location for high-powered board meetings, small conferences, workshops and incentives. Gozo is a must-visit location. It is almost always included in leisure-time arrangements. It is particularly renowned for active day tours and outdoor events. Moreover, the Island is a conference and incentive destination in its own right, and has the facilities to prove it.

  • Harbour - 6 km
  • Victoria - 4 km
  • Hospital - 4 km
  • Dive shop - 100 m
  • Beach - 100 m

At only 15 kilometres long, the island of Gozo is the small neighbour of the larger Malta which is six kilometres away by ferry. Unlike Malta, the more sedate island of Gozo has not yet been developed for mass tourism and has a rather more calm atmosphere. It offers lots of pretty coves, quiet old villages, spectacular coastal formations and its Ggantija temples, the oldest free standing structures in the world. It's attractive little historic capital, Victoria, is built around an old citadel.

The Beach:

  • Marsalforn bay
  • Small sandy beach 50 meters from hotel
  • No possibility for sunbed or sunshade hire
