The Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa is the island’s foremost ‘inland’ hotel, located in the quiet village of Balzan, approximately 3km from the ancient city of Mdina. Set in mature landscaped gardens, directly next to the presidential palace, the luxurious Corinthia Palace is also one of Malta’s longest established spa resorts.
The central Maltese town of ‘Balzan’ is a quiet location where visitors have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the hotel and the neighbouring gardens. ‘San Anton’ is the name of the popular landscaped gardens which can be found directly next to the Corinthia Palace Hotel. These gardens are in effect part of the wider grounds belonging to the ‘Presidential’ palace on the same site, however, a large portion of the beautiful and tranquil gardens have been opened to the public domain for some years.
The Corinthia Palace Hotel is one of Malta’s longest established hotels and boasted a state of the art wellness and athenaeum centre long before this unique concept became a common addition to almost every new resort which opens for business. Found almost at the halfway point between Malta’s modern-day capital city of ‘Valletta’ and the island’s medieval capital city of ‘Mdina’, the Corinthia Palace is the ultimate hideaway for a relaxing Malta break.

The Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa is a deluxe 5* resort with an array of guest services and facilities to suit and cater to every guest. The focal point of the hotel is, of course, its beautiful landscaped gardens creating an oasis of tranquillity perhaps not so prevalent at other resorts around Malta. The hotel introduced the concept of 'wellness' many years before other hotels even gave such a thought to this now common service. The athenaeum spa of the Corinthia Palace Hotel, however, is still a leader in this field and the array of offers available at the Palace is still impressive in the extreme.
The large outdoor pool is a centre point of the garden area, although guests who still want something more than simply relaxing by the pool and enjoying the peace around them can loosen up on the tennis courts or at the fitness centre of the hotel. During the cooler winter months, when guests generally move inside, the huge indoor pool and the famous spa and atheneum centre of the hotel is the place to be on a colder winters day. The different facilities and opportunities found within the atheneum centre are always impressive and for guests whose sole intention is to enjoy a wellness break at the resort, pre-bookable programmes can be arranged with the hotel in advance.
Due to its proximity to the airport as well as being only a short drive from Valletta, the Corinthia Palace Hotel is also an excellent business hotel. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and for business guests who do choose to rent a car and thus need to be out early or back late, there are extensive parting facilities to be found in the street next to the hotel.

Built on 4 floors, the hotel offers 155 luxury rooms with every comfort provided to guests of the hotel. Designed in light and relaxing colours, the hotel has emphasized guest comfort.
Each room has a private balcony, overlooking the surrounding gardens to the front or the rear of the hotel. A choice of twin-bedded or double bedded rooms can be made before arrival so that everything is prepared in advance for the comfort of the guest. Eco Tax on Accommodation
The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the implementation of the Eco Tax on Accommodation will become effective on 1st April 2016 (effective date) and will be applicable for all adult guests staying in hotels and other hosted accommodation.
The tax will be €0.50 per adult per night, capped at a maximum of €5.00 per adult per stay.
The tax will be collected directly by the accommodation service provider prior to check out and remitted to Government.
The tax also applies to any accommodation that was reserved before the announcement of the Eco Tax but which will be availed of on or after the effective date. It is our understanding that any reservations that overlap the effective date will be subject to the tax for the portion of the reservation after the effective date.
