Marina Hotel Malta is a lovely modern hotel situated on the Tigne/Sliema seafront. This charming hotel is ideally positioned along the picturesque sea-front Promenade amongst cafe’s and restaurants
The locality of Sliema on the east coast of Malta is one of the islands’ main resorts; therefore transport connections to all areas of Malta can be found only 100 metres from the Marina Hotel. Ferry boats to Valletta or larger cruising boats for day tours around the island can also found within a few metres from this Hotel. The central area of Sliema is one of Malta’s main commercial districts offering a huge choice of popular boutiques, souvenir shops and dining options. Sliema is particularly popular for its pavement cafes where locals and visitors like to relax and watch the world go by.
The Marina Hotel is located directly next to the commercial district and is, therefore, one of Sliema’s most popular and long-established 3* hotels. The Hotel is situated opposite the main promenade which runs the length of this popular resort and you can always see both locals and overseas visitors out enjoying a walk along the seafront.
From the roof of this hotel, you can enjoy spectacular views of both the harbour and Valletta whilst relaxing in the morning sun. Sunbeds and parasols are provided for the comfort of the hotel guests. For guests who want to enjoy some swimming, the hotel offers free entrance to a local lido which is situated only a few minutes away.

The Marina Hotel has a rooftop restaurant which offers panoramic views of the harbour and specializes in preparing cuisine typical of a Mediterranean diet. Many local Malta dishes are also served a standard to guests.
The café ‘Bottega’ on the ground floor level of the hotel is a popular pavement café and is well known for serving a range of light snacks and meals throughout the day.
Dining options in the area around the hotel are also extremely varied and guests will be spoilt for choice with the number of dining possibilities in the central resort of Sliema.
Points of Interest
Sliema is one of Malta's main coastal resort towns and a heartland for shopping, entertainment and café life. The long stretch of rocky coastline that goes from Qui-si-Sana to St. Julian's is thronged with sunbathers during the peak summer months.
Steps and handrails placed every so often allow easy access to the water. There are plenty of flat rocks to spread a towel on. The sea here is deep and generally clean, clear and safe to swim. It is also excellent for snorkelling. Some hotels along the front, especially at the St. Julian's end, provide beach concessions equipped with pools, water sports and lido areas for nightlife. The favourite beach areas are the Tigné area, Qui si-Sana, Għar id-Dud, the Exiles and Fond Għadir. Some are well-known lidos or beach clubs with public access.
In peak summer the Sliema beaches become a very sociable, lively place to be by mid-afternoon. The promenade is excellent for long, striding walks in winter, strolls on summer evenings and for watching the spectacular waves during freak autumn storms. You will find plenty of snack bars and restaurants on the coast road and kiosks near the shoreline.

The popular Sliema ferry which crosses over to Valletta is located only 100 metres from this hotel whilst local bus connections to all areas of the island are also found directly next to the hotel. The cosmopolitan night resort of St. Julians is located just to the north of Sliema and can be reached either by walking along the promenade or taking a short bus ride. Sliema is also the main port in Malta for pleasure cruises and you can board a boat and enjoy a day out yet still be back in time for dinner.

Eco Tax on Accommodation
The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the implementation of the Eco Tax on Accommodation will become effective on 1st April 2016 (effective date) and will be applicable for all adult guests staying in hotels and other hosted accommodation.
The tax will be €0.50 per adult per night, capped at a maximum of €5.00 per adult per stay.
The tax will be collected directly by the accommodation service provider prior to check out and remitted to Government.
The tax also applies to any accommodation that was reserved before the announcement of the Eco Tax but which will be availed of on or after the effective date. It is our understanding that any reservations that overlap the effective date will be subject to the tax for the portion of the reservation after the effective date.
