The Windsor Hotel is located in a quiet side street just 50m from the popular seafront promenade of Sliema. This extremely elegant 4* boutique hotel offers guests every comfort.
The resort of Sliema, located on the east coast of Malta is one of the islands’ most popular destinations. Sliema is one of Malta’s main commercial resorts and offers a wide choice of excellent dining and leisure options. It is also well known for shopping where visitors can find most high street stores as well as a large selection of local names. Transport links to all areas of Malta can be found in Sliema and the harbour is also the main port for leisure boats where you can book a ticket for a day cruising around the islands or to the Blue Lagoon.
The Windsor Hotel is one of Sliema’s longest established hotels and is built and designed in a traditionally elegant style to blend in with the surroundings of the old Sliema townhouses. This lovely 4* boutique hotel, although situated only 50 metres from the seafront can be found on a quiet side street just off the main promenade. The Hotel is very central to the main areas of Sliema and a short walk along the popular promenade brings you to the centre of town.
The promenade which is just around the corner from the Windsor Hotel stretches from Sliema to St. Julians and is particularly popular with both locals and foreigners who enjoy coming out during the day or the evening to enjoy the relaxation of simply strolling by the sea or sitting on a bench and watching the world go by.

The main ‘Corner’ restaurant of the hotel serves all meals from breakfast, lunch or dinner. Guests booking half board will find a daily selection of buffet meals on offer although the restaurant also offers a number of A la carte menus as an alternative.
The cuisine of this restaurant has been created around a typically Mediterranean theme with a wide selection of pastas and local dishes on offer.
Once weekly on Friday evenings, a ‘themed’ night is introduced where guests can sample some traditional Maltese dishes whilst enjoying the accompanying live music in the background.
The hotel's bar is open between 11:00- 23:00 and vending machines are also available throughout the day and night.

Sliema is one of Malta's main coastal resort towns and a heartland for shopping, entertainment and café life. The long stretch of rocky coastline that goes from Qui-si-Sana all the way to St. Julian's is thronged with sunbathers during the peak summer months.
Steps and handrails placed every so often allow easy access to the water. There are plenty of flat rocks to spread a towel on. The sea here is deep, and generally clean, clear and safe to swim. It is also excellent for snorkelling. Some hotels along the front, especially at the St. Julian's end, provide beach concessions equipped with pools, water sports and lido areas for nightlife. The favourite beach areas are: the Tigné area, Qui si-Sana, Għar id-Dud, the Exiles and Fond Għadir. Some are well-known lidos or beach clubs with public access.
In peak summer the Sliema beaches become a very sociable, lively place to be by mid-afternoon. The promenade is excellent for long, striding walks in winter, strolls on summer evenings and for watching the spectacular waves during freak autumn storms. You will find plenty of snack bars and restaurants on the coast road and kiosks near the shoreline.

Whether you want to explore Malta by bus, cruise along the coast on a day trip or simply relax in the surroundings of this resort, the Windsor hotel is ideally placed to take advantage of this. Only two minutes from the hotel, you can find bus connections to all areas of Malta and the main harbour is only a 10 minute walk along the seafront. The nightlife resort of St. Julians is a short distance along the coast and can be reached easily by bus or by foot.

Eco Tax on Accommodation
The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the implementation of the Eco Tax on Accommodation will become effective on 1st April 2016 (effective date) and will be applicable for all adult guests staying in hotels and other hosted accommodation.
The tax will be €0.50 per adult per night, capped at a maximum of €5.00 per adult per stay.
The tax will be collected directly by the accommodation service provider prior to check out and remitted to Government.
The tax also applies to any accommodation that was reserved before the announcement of the Eco Tax but which will be availed of on or after the effective date. It is our understanding that any reservations that overlap the effective date will be subject to the tax for the portion of the reservation after the effective date.
