The exceptionally picturesque and famous ‘Blue lagoon’ is one of Malta’s greatest and most beautiful locations. Imagine a hotel so tranquil and secluded that you really can leave all of your worries behind, imagine Comino.
The island of Comino is the smallest in the archipelago of the Maltese islands. It lies between Malta and Gozo and rightly lays the claim to be the most peaceful and secluded hotel on the Maltese islands. The connection between Comino and the main islands is made either by the scheduled ‘Comino boat’, or for those guests who want a little bit of extra excitement, speedboat connections can be booked at the hotel.
The Comino Hotel sits on the north side of the island directly facing the island of Gozo. Perched directly on the seafront within a secluded bay, the Comino hotel is everything you expect from a hotel offering the absolute in peace and tranquillity.
The famous Blue Lagoon is located across the island from the hotel and there is a path that connects the hotel to the lagoon. Around the island, there are many hiking trails and during the spring and early summer months, the island is awash with the colours of various plant species.

Comino Hotel is the only building on the island of Comino, and therefore the prices of the hotel are naturally based on a minimum board basis of Half board. All meals are served in the informal and modern ‘Comino’ Restaurant. A range of both Mediterranean and International cuisines are served to the guests.
The hotel organizes Al Fresco BBQ’s on certain evenings which is served on the terrace restaurant and is particularly popular with guests.
Recreation
The Comino Hotel features tennis courts, a volleyball court, and an outdoor pool with a children’s area. For younger guests there is a playroom and a video room, and the hotel offers table tennis, pool and bingo. There is scuba diving at the Comino Diving School, as well as mountain bikes for hire, tours of Comino, canoe safaris and an entertainment team which organises activities, such as aerobics, water polo, karaoke, dinner dances and folk evenings.

Situated between Malta and Gozo, the smaller island of Comino is a paradise for snorkelers, divers, windsurfers and ramblers. Only 3.5 square kilometers, Comino is car-free and apart from one hotel, is virtually uninhabited. The island's main attraction is the Blue Lagoon. In summer, this sheltered inlet of shimmering aquamarine water over white sand is very popular with day-trippers. Comino is also worth a visit in winter, and is ideal for walkers and photographers. With no urban areas or cars on the island, one can easily smell the scent of wild thyme and other herbs. Speedboat trips to the many sea caves around the island are a popular summer pastime.

Transfers
The only way onto Comino is by boat and the hotel organises the transfer from the port on Malta over to the island. Guests must advise us of their arrival time and flight number immediately after making their reservation for this hotel and by writing an e-mail to info@bookmalta.com. New guests must pay a one time boat charge directly at the hotel on arrival. Adults €8.15 and children €4.10. This charge covers arrival and departure transfers as well as the daily scheduled boat transfers to Gozo or Malta.

Eco Tax on Accommodation
The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the implementation of the Eco Tax on Accommodation will become effective on 1st April 2016 (effective date) and will be applicable for all adult guests staying in hotels and other hosted accommodation.
The tax will be €0.50 per adult per night, capped at a maximum of €5.00 per adult per stay.
The tax will be collected directly by the accommodation service provider prior to check out and remitted to Government.
The tax also applies to any accommodation that was reserved before the announcement of the Eco Tax but which will be availed of on or after the effective date. It is our understanding that any reservations that overlap the effective date will be subject to the tax for the portion of the reservation after the effective date.
