The Europa is one of Sliema’s longest established hotels and is ideally located on the main seafront of this popular resort. Small and comfortable, the Europa is ideally situated in an area of Sliema that has a large selection of coffee bars, restaurants, or the favourite pavement cafés that are found along the length of the promenade.
The Europa is a small and friendly boutique hotel comprising of 70 rooms, many of which have direct views over the open seas. Furnished in a modern and comfortable style, visitors to this hotel will be sure to enjoy a relaxing Malta vacation.

The hotel offers an upgraded continental breakfast in the breakfast room. On the ground floor, Europa Hotel has a quaint breakfast room serving buffet breakfast to all of our guests. In addition, also on the ground floor, this hotel has a modern trendy cocktail bar called Mojito which is also very popular with the locals. The hotel is equipped with WIFI throughout (at a nominal charge) and also has an internet station.
Furthermore, Mojito and the Europa Hotel boasts one of the largest terraces on Tower Road which is open daily in the evening (weather permitting) The hotel has one lift which serves each of the five floors and one main staircase. The staff will be pleased to assist with your every requirement, ranging from organising, helping with airport transfers, information on places on interest, taxi service, car hire, tours, babysitting etc.

The hotel has a very popular cocktail / lounge bar located on the seafront porch of the hotel.

Sliema is one of Malta's main coastal resort towns and a heartland for shopping, entertainment and café life. The long stretch of rocky coastline that goes from Qui-si-Sana all the way to St. Julian's is thronged with sunbathers during the peak summer months.
Steps and handrails placed every so often allow easy access to the water. There are plenty of flat rocks to spread a towel on. The sea here is deep, and generally clean, clear and safe to swim. It is also excellent for snorkelling. Some hotels along the front, especially at the St. Julian's end, provide beach concessions equipped with pools, water sports and lido areas for nightlife. The favourite beach areas are: the Tigné area, Qui si-Sana, Għar id-Dud, the Exiles and Fond Għadir. Some are well-known lidos or beach clubs with public access.
In peak summer the Sliema beaches become a very sociable, lively place to be by mid-afternoon. The promenade is excellent for long, striding walks in winter, slow strolls on summer evenings and for watching the spectacular waves during freak autumn storms. You will find plenty of snack bars and restaurants on the coast road and kiosks near the shoreline.
Centre of Sliema is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Lots of Restaurants and other dining/drinking venues within a few metres of the hotel. Local bus connections to Valletta and other areas found a few minutes from the hotel. The main shopping centre of Sliema is 10 minutes from the hotel. Swimming along Sliema’s coastline is directly next to the hotel.

Eco Tax on Accommodation
The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the implementation of the Eco Tax on Accommodation will become effective on 1st April 2016 (effective date) and will be applicable for all adult guests staying in hotels and other hosted accommodation.
The tax will be €0.50 per adult per night, capped at a maximum of €5.00 per adult per stay.
The tax will be collected directly by the accommodation service provider prior to check out and remitted to Government.
The tax also applies to any accommodation that was reserved before the announcement of the Eco Tax but which will be availed of on or after the effective date. It is our understanding that any reservations that overlap the effective date will be subject to the tax for the portion of the reservation after the effective date.
