Information
The Astra Hotel is located right on the Sliema seafront and Malta's most fashionable resort, next to a rocky beach and a promenade which leads you on one side to shopping centres, boat cruises and cafes whilst on the other side a Mecca of restaurants in the pretty bay of St.Julian's.
When exiting the hotel turning to the left this time you will find a long promenade perfect for evening walks, morning runs or leisurely strolls. Along this promenade you will eventually reach the picturesque town of St. Julian’s (2KM) which boasts about it's diversity of night life in Malta, there are many restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs in this area, however it is also suitable for a relaxing evening dinner or drink.

The reception at The Astra Hotel is manned between, 0700hrs till 2200hrs. In case you will be checking during times that the reception is not manned, you are kindly asked to go to The Preluna Hotel & Spa, which is situated on the main road, namely Tower Road, right next to Time Square, which is only a few meters away from The Astra Hotel itself.

All Inland rooms at The Astra Hotel, are located throughout the 4 floors; rooms are situated from the first to the fourth floor, and overlook Graham Street, Sliema. Daily housekeeping service is also included to all rooms at the Astra Hotel.

Eco Tax on Accommodation
The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the implementation of the Eco Tax on Accommodation will become effective on 1st April 2016 (effective date) and will be applicable for all adult guests staying in hotels and other hosted accommodation.
The tax will be €0.50 per adult per night, capped at a maximum of €5.00 per adult per stay.
The tax will be collected directly by the accommodation service provider prior to check out and remitted to Government.
The tax also applies to any accommodation that was reserved before the announcement of the Eco Tax but which will be availed of on or after the effective date. It is our understanding that any reservations that overlap the effective date will be subject to the tax for the portion of the reservation after the effective date.
