The Seashells Resort at the Suncrest is situated at the end of the popular 3km promenade that runs from St Paul’s Bay in the north, through Bugibba and down to Qawra in the south.
The northern locality of Qawra which can be found on the east coast was purposely created in the early 1980s to cater for the growing number of visitors to Malta. The area along with the neighbouring town of Bugibba make up the wider district of St. Pauls Bay. Many of the islands leading 4* resorts can be found around this locality and the Suncrest hotel certainly falls into this category. There is a wide choice of shopping, dining and leisure activities in the areas directly around the hotel.
Qawra is especially popular with a large number of clients who enjoy getting out from their chosen hotel during the day or the evening and enjoying the calm and easy pace of Malta by strolling along the popular promenade which runs through Bugibba and up to St. Pauls Bay in the north. The 3km length of this promenade ensures that there is plenty to see and do along the way.
The Seashells Resort sits directly facing the popular Salina bay and boasts fantastic views of the open seas. This popular and established 4* resort has an extensive range of facilities to cater for all members of the family. Local transport to all areas of Malta can be found directly next to the hotel making the Suncrest ideally positioned for exploring all of Malta.

The Seashells Resort at the Suncrest has a range of sporting and leisure activities to suit all tastes. The main pool of the hotel is located directly on the seafront and include 2 small children's pools one of which has a children's fun slide. There is a large games room and playroom next to the lido area which includes several billiard tables, table tennis and various video games.
The hotel has its own diving centre which offers several water sports activities including water skiing, sailing, windsurfing and jet skis. Professional diving courses can also be booked at the centre ranging from beginners courses up to PADI open water advanced courses.
The leisure & fitness centre is located 150 meters from the hotel and includes free use of an indoor pool (heated during the winter seasons), a gymnasium, a Jacuzzi and squash courts. Sauna and massages are also available at a small charge.
The hotel offers brand new corridors including floors, ceiling and lighting system, 6 Brand New elevators, 2 Brand New service elevators, Reception and Façade.
During the summer months, the animation team takes care of the children and creates activity programmes to keep the younger generation occupied during their stay at the hotel. The 'Reflections' night club is open every evening for the active guest looking to really let their hair down.

The hotel’s accommodation includes a mix of Land View and Sea View Accommodation in Malta from which 256 are double rooms, (24 are interconnecting family rooms), 114 are triples, and the remaining 82 rooms are elegantly decorated suite accommodation consisting of Land view Suites, Sea View Suites and 2 presidential suites. Most of the rooms offer stunning sea views and each of the rooms is fully fitted with a range of facilities to ensure maximum comfort.
Promo rooms are furnished in a more simple style than standard rooms, however other basic room facilities as described as being present in a promo room are the same as found in standard rooms.
The hotel's 452 newly refurbished rooms offer tea and coffee making facilities, reading lights, free wi-fi, bathrooms mostly with showers, balconies and double glazed balcony doors. A minibar is provided. This is left empty, however, should you wish to have it filled prior to your arrival, you can choose from two main Beverage Packages.

Although there are a number of restaurants in the areas around this resort, the hotel also offers guests a range of excellent dining options at the resort. The main 'La Pavillion' restaurant of the hotel is open daily for both breakfast and dinner and guests are treated to an excellent buffet service during meal times. As an alternative option, the hotel also has a pizzeria 'Tal Kaptan' which is also very popular with the local Maltese diners. The location of this easy dining restaurant is above the lido and directly above the sea making it especially popular for summer Al Fresco dining.
Maltese dining is always popular with visitors to our islands and the 'It Tokk' restaurant at the Suncrest hotel has long been renowned for serving excellent local cuisine.
During the cool winter months, there is a varied programme of excellent entertainment in the extremely intimate atmosphere of the 'La Piazza' Cocktail Bar. Each evening guests are treated to some of the best local artists performing live at the hotel. During the warmer summer months, the 'Surf' beach club is the venue for nightly entertainment around the pool area.
All-Inclusive - Breakfast, lunch and dinner, sandwiches, baguettes, Toasts, Cakes and local ice cream. Unlimited local spirits, local beet, house wine, local juices, water, soft drinks, tea, coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate and espresso. Snacks and beverages are served from 10:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs at designated outlets within the hotel.

Qawra, together with neighbouring St. Paul's Bay and Bugibba are Malta's largest seaside resorts.
They offer plentiful accommodation ranging from self-catering apartments to hotel complexes and a variety of nightlife and leisure options. The coastline here has some wonderful open sea views and a vista across to St. Paul's Island, where, according to legend, the ship carrying the Apostle is said to have been wrecked. Standing prominently on the isle is a large statue of the Apostle commemorating this legendary event. The coastline promenade provides a long, though mostly level and an easy walk from St. Paul's Bay all the way to Qawra Point, with its tower and views over Salina Bay. St. Paul's Bay started life as a small fishing village.
The parish church of Qawra, dedicated to St Francis of Assisi, was designed by Maltese architect Richard England.

The localities of Qawra and Bugibba which are linked by the seafront promenade have for many years been one of the most popular Malta destinations. Qawra is the more sedate of the two resorts, although guests who wish to head for Bugibba in the evening where there is a range of good dining options and popular wine bars have only a short walk between the two localities. Qawra point which is only 300 metres from the Suncrest hotel offers fantastic swimming options in a closed bay whilst the main beach areas to the north of the hotel are a short bus ride from the hotel.

Eco Tax on Accommodation
The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the implementation of the Eco Tax on Accommodation will become effective on 1st April 2016 (effective date) and will be applicable for all adult guests staying in hotels and other hosted accommodation.
The tax will be €0.50 per adult per night, capped at a maximum of €5.00 per adult per stay.
The tax will be collected directly by the accommodation service provider prior to check out and remitted to Government.
The tax also applies to any accommodation that was reserved before the announcement of the Eco Tax but which will be availed of on or after the effective date. It is our understanding that any reservations that overlap the effective date will be subject to the tax for the portion of the reservation after the effective date.
