The hotel has 165 rooms and are all of excellent standard. Each room is decorated in a modern-contemporary style and offers excellent facilities including an en-suite bathroom, twin/double beds, individually-controlled central heating and air-conditioning, satellite TV, tea and coffee making amenities, mini-bar (stocked on request), hairdryer, direct-dial telephone and a reliable Wi-Fi connection. The Studios, Junior Suite and 1-Bedroom Apartment enjoy a kitchenette for those guests who prefer to self-cater. The Luxury Suite is the most sought after room type; these rooms are on the highest floors and enjoy plenty of sunlight and a large terrace which truly offers a unique Maltese holiday experience.

Luxury Suites

For those who want the grandest of the rooms, a bright suite with terrace and premium entertainment system. Comfort, technology, and modern design are what you can expect in the Luxury Suites, the biggest and brightest of the suites and rooms. The luxury suite comes with a large terrace and lounge chairs where you and a partner can sunbathe and relax. Inside, make use of the entertainment area with divan, 50-inch satellite TV and soundbar. You’ll feel like a king or queen in the separated sleeping quarter or showering in the renovated bathroom.

Studio Apartments

For those who want to make themselves at home and have plenty of space. Find your home away from home in a charming studio apartment in Mellieħa, comfortably accommodating up to 4 people. Minimalist wooden furniture, neutral detailing and a modern bathroom add sophisticated touches to your spacious studio. Lounge on your divan in the entertainment area or cook dinner in your kitchenette area. The glass doorway to your private balcony lets you bring fresh air and natural light into your chic studio pad.

Junior Suites

Standard Rooms

For those who want the basic comforts, plus a balcony to take in the sights. You’ll adore your stay in beautiful Mellieħa with a standard room overlooking the village. After a sunny day at the nearby beach, cool off in the room – the air conditioning unit can be set to your personal preferences. If it’s not beach weather, there’s plenty of sightseeing to do as well. Internal Rooms

For those who want just the basics, without sacrificing comfort. Enjoy a cosy, private stay in one of our internal rooms, which are often referred to as Economy Rooms or Promo Rooms and provide most of the same features as our standard rooms. Our location in the relaxing village of Mellieħa means you’ll have quiet nights undisturbed and our air conditioning units allow you to cool down after a day in the sun. The en-suite bathroom comes equipped with a hairdryer and complimentary toiletries, but feel free to call our Front Desk should you need anything else. And if you want some downtime for yourself, you can watch TV or browse the web from under the comforter while sipping a bedside coffee or tea.

One Bedroom Apartments

For those who need an additional bed and bathroom. Perfect for small groups or couples travelling with children, this luxury apartment provides two separate sleeping quarters with satellite TV plus two en-suite bathrooms stocked with complimentary toiletries and hairdryer. You can stay close together while also enjoying your privacy. Shared spaces included a balcony overlooking the quaint village of Mellieħa, a small dining area with kitchenette and the beach is only a short trip away.

Lobby Bar

Great for after-work drinks and lunch meetings. Solana greets all guests with a welcome drink when they arrive. Whether it’s a quick meeting with a colleague or a casual catch-up with a friend, we’ve redesigned the lobby into a welcoming place for people to get together. The artful lamps turn the lobby into a stylish cafe. So go ahead and order an espresso or spritz from the lobby bar and make yourself cosy on one of the plush sofas. The bar serves light refreshments and snacks during the day and pre-dinner cocktails and nightcaps in the evening. Make this your first and last stop at Solana.

Bellini Restaurant

The best choice for large parties and events. The main restaurant is also our guests’ favourite restaurant for social events and conferences. The well-lit, buffet-style venue seats 160 people as well as an additional 50 on the outdoor terrace. Outdoor diners have the chance to enjoy a spectacular view over the valley. In the morning, hotel guests are treated to a full continental and English breakfast. In the evening, Bellini serves themed dinners that change daily. The restaurant also serves lunch when required, and can specifically cater to your special event. We want all our guests to have the option of enjoying Bellini, which is why we made it fully accessible for all levels of mobility (including WCs) and we also have a play area for kids.

Tosca Restaurant

All your Italian favourites. If you love authentic Italian food, you’ll love Tosca. This award-winning restaurant serves all the Italian classics, plus daily specialities and fresh seafood. Open in the evenings, you can wine and dine inside or on the veranda. Escape the city and enjoy cocktails in style at the Top Deck.

When the weather gets warm, we’re delighted to open the poolside bar. Located right next to the rooftop pool, the pool bar serves cocktails, aperitifs, and nightcaps. Solana’s rooftop, an oasis in the centre of Mellieħa village, is Malta’s best kept hidden gem. Here you’ll be elevated from the hustle and bustle of the village streets, whether you’re floating in the pool or lounging on the terrace under an umbrella.

Panoramic Pool & Sundeck

Solana’s rooftop pool offers impeccable views of the sea and Malta’s sister islands, while the outdoor lounge area offers shade under the umbrellas. Swim over to the seasonal bar where you can order beverages without ever leaving the pool. A drink in hand is a nice accompaniment to a stunning sunset over Mellieħa.   

Heated Indoor Pool

The Solana Hotel boasts a large indoor leisure area. The primary attraction is undoubtedly the indoor heated pool but guests can also enjoy a sauna and the services of Nataraya Spa & Wellness Centre.

Fitness Centre

Exercise on your own in our modest fitness centre, outfitted with a variety of machines and free weights. All hotel guests have complimentary use of the gym. We keep our fitness facility well-maintained so you can stay in shape, even when you’re travelling.
